The Opportunity

As a Radiochemist, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping OncoBeta’s technical future. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Quality Management, Product Management, and Regulatory Affairs teams to drive innovative solutions.

What You’ll Do

· Strengthen Raw Material Supply: Develop and build applications and production lines globally to enhance availability of rhenium-188 for OncoBeta’s products and other therapeutical needs.

· Plough Lines for New Products: Develop and build new technologies for GMP grade rhenium-188 supply: rhenium-188 API and GMP grade tungsten-188/rhenium-188 generator.

· Master tungsten-188 and rhenium-188 chemistry: Improve and build technologies to enhance efficiency in target irradiations and develop recycling processes.

· Drive Manufacturing Expansion: Drive the global scaling of OncoBeta’s manufacturing systems, including building production lines in South Africa, Australia, Europe, and other markets.

· Collaborate Globally: Build strong partnerships with supply chain partners and hardware vendors to integrate and support seamless manufacturing operations.

· Manage Technical Documentation: Oversee technical documentation and regulatory compliance, ensuring everything is accurate and up to date.

· Foster Teamwork: Lead cross-functional projects with Marketing & Sales, Engineering, and Quality Management Systems (QMS) teams to meet organizational goals.

· Ensure Compliance: Champion quality standards by ensuring compliance with ISO 13485 and MDR.

 

What We’re Looking For

· Education: A university degree in Radiochemistry, Nuclear Chemistry, Radiopharmacy, or similar is required.

· Experience: 4-5 years of relevant experience, with a strong motivation to take the lead in planning and executing key activities.

· Skills:

o Solid hands-on experience in radioanalytical and analytical work, radiochemical processes, and radioprotection in work with high activities of open radioactive sources in hot cell environment.

o Deep understanding of complex manufacturing processes and hardware systems, validation and qualification of methods and instruments.

o Strong problem-solving abilities and a drive for continuous improvement.

o Wide experience in working in GMP production and regulatory environment.

o Excellent project management skills to oversee complex, budget-conscious initiatives.
